Use your own gold
People often ask:
What can I do with my old jewelry?
Most of us have some jewelry just hanging out in the bottom of our jewelry box or safe deposit box.
Maybe it was passed down from loved ones, but isn't your style or in wearable condition.
A special gift that marked a special time in your life, but now looks dated or is worn out.
Whatever the reason, there it is, lying unworn.
There are lots of options to breathe new life into your old jewelry!
Transform Your Gold
With our "Same Molecule Refining" service, you can change any karat or color of gold into any other karat or color!
What it is:
Refining is the process of separating the pure gold from gold alloys like 14K or 18K. Most refining is done in huge lots where your gold is mixed with everyone else's. That means you're unlikely to get your same gold back.
How it works:
Our service refines only your gold so the pure 24K gold that you get back is yours and only your sentimental gold. For example, you could bring us your grandparents' 18K yellow gold wedding rings and your 14K white gold sweet 16 necklace and get back the pure gold from your exact jewelry. Note that there is a 1 ounce minimum.
What can we do with it?
The pure gold from your old jewelry can then be turned into any karat like 14K, 18K, 22K and any color such as yellow, white, rose or even green gold! That means you can have a custom jewelry project created for you with your sentimental family jewelry.

Trade Your Gold
You can trade your gold or platinum for recycle credit.
Your credit can be applied to any purchase including ready-to-wear jewelry, custom-made jewelry or store credit to use later.
Or you can receive a check for the value of your precious metal.

Use Your Gold Directly
In some cases your gold can be used in your new custom jewelry without any refining.
This pendant was created using two sentimental family wedding bands and an engagement ring. There are lots of creative and meaningful ways to incorporate family jewelry like this into something you can wear and keep close to your heart.
Another way to repurpose your gold without refining is to melt it and reform into another shape. To give you the best result, our team of designers and goldsmiths will advise you if your old jewelry would work well for this type of process. For example, we don't recommend using chains this way. They have solder at every link and solder causes pits and sometimes cracks in a finished product.
