Patrick started in the jewelry industry in 1997 as a sales associate at a small store in Malibu, CA. Having been interested in various visual arts, including drawing and painting, he realized that jewelry is just another media with its own set of rules. He began designing custom pieces and learning how to fabricate and carve wax. In 2003, he began working for Jewelsmith. He says that he feels fortunate to work with a variety of fantastic bench jewelers who have been willing to share their time and experience with him. In 2013 he fully transitioned from the sales team to a bench jeweler position but still continues to work with clients to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
