Patrick King

Designer + Goldsmith

Patrick King entered the jewelry industry in 1998, having first studied jewelry design and silversmithing at Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine in 1994. He completed GIA coursework in Basic Stone Setting and Repair in 1999. He started working at Jewelsmith in 2003 and became an employee-owner in 2022, when the studio transitioned to employee ownership. He loves working in a creative environment that is very team focused.

He envisions continuing to create new designs and progress in his professional skills, particularly gemstone setting and hand engraving, an area he's continued building through the GRS Training Center, completing Advanced Ring Engraving with Layne Zuelke in 2022 and Decorative Stone Setting with Todd Daniels in 2023. In 2025, he completed Deep Relief and Sculpting with Jason Marchiafava at the New Approach School for Jewelers, and in 2026 he attended THERE (The Hand Engraver Retreat and Expo) in Arcadia, Missouri, studying with Roy Cover.

Winning an AGTA Spectrum Award, in the summer of both 2016 and 2018, is his proudest achievement as a designer and goldsmith. He is passionate about precision workmanship, and in his personal time he also enjoys hiking and camping.
