May knows the power of jewelry design. She earned her BA from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2004 and later studied contemporary jewelry design at the Azza Fahmy Design Studio in Cairo, Egypt. She entered the jewelry industry and started working at Jewelsmith in 2023, and loves finding creative ways to revitalize family heirlooms and honor sentimental pieces. She is a Certified Sales Associate through the American Gem Society, and has continued her training through GIA Sketchbook (2023) and Countersketch 3D design software (2026). She looks forward to designing many more custom pieces alongside the talented team at Jewelsmith.

Helping a client find their true style, rather than what is currently trending, is her proudest moment as a jewelry designer. She loves the look of rustic textures paired with brilliant diamonds. When she's not admiring these beautiful looks, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Yannick, and spending time with their two rescue pitbulls, Ginger and KC. She's fluent in both English and Arabic.

Her current jewelry obsession is the primitive eternity band, because of the contrast of the matte textured gold and the brilliant sparkle of diamonds.
